Keep in mind that that observation is from someone who does not, and never has, depended upon a wheelchair for mobility. I purchased my BREEZY 600 wheelchair ~25 years ago for my mother who had suffered a stroke.Before installing the Covers, I unpacked the wheelchair and spent some time re-acquainting myself with its operation, navigating around the house in it until I stopped bumping into things ... mostly. :) I came away from that realizing that if I had to use this I would want a pair of gloves as the metal Push Rim is a bit slick & cold & small in diameter.Prior to product installation, I quickly put together a "warming box" (with a corrugated cardboard box plus a space heater) to warm the silicone rubber covers to make them a little easier to manipulate & install.The installation was quick & easy ... followed by a sitdown and another trip around this floor of the house.WOW! These silicone rubber covers REALLY make a difference in the experience. Not only do I not feel the need for gloves but they have increased the diameter of the Push Rim, making it much easier to use. In addition, it feels to me that the "grippyness" (a word? :)) of the silicone rubber makes it easier for me to maneuver the wheelchair, requiring less hand strength.As I said, a BIG improvement!The next member of my family that requires use of this wheelchair will be very happy that I have added this accessory!
