This has been a really useful transport chair for me. Overall, it is a good transport chair that is most suitable when compactness of the chair is more important and the person to transport is not too large. It is best for light use. The chair is small and light which is good for moving the chair around but does have some drawbacks depending on usage. I've been using this to transport an adult that is around 5 feet 4 inches tall and less than 70kg. The chair works well for this size and smaller. As the person gets taller, their knees will get more and more bent while they are sitting in the chair. Even a person of this size will have their knees shortly bent up above the seat level while on the chair. The chair is only slightly larger than the person sitting which makes it and to navigate in pretty tight spaces. Since the wheels are smaller, it folds up smaller but this also means it has more trouble going over bumps. The chair folds up easily overall. To fold up the chair, there are 2 safety latches to flip up, the 2 arms need flipped around 270 degrees, and then the while chair folds into thirds in one motion. The foot rest can sometimes interfere with the folding a bit if it flipped the wrong way. The chair is just ok on comfort for the person sitting. The padding on the seat and back is fairly light. The arm rest padding is good. The back design is not that great as the bar (lower bar on back) for braking presses firmly against the user's back and is uncomfortable. Especially in the unbraked position as the bar is slightly father forward in this position. We used a foam back support cushion to make it more comfortable although this made it more difficult to fold as the back support interfered with the folding. We also put some extra padding around the bar. The handle bar on the back of the chair is slightly low for the person pushing (we had a 5'10" person pushing) but it is not very uncomfortable but does induce a slight bend in the back. The brake is easy to operate for both setting and releasing. The brake is set by pulling the lower bar up towards the upper bar which causes the lower bar to rotate about 90 degrees. The brake is released by pulling on the red pin on the left side of the lower bar. The foot rest is just held in place by gravity and can swing around in the upward direction by around 270 degrees. There is no convenient way to move the foot rest out of the way if you don't want it. You can easily swing the foot rest up and out of the way, but it won't stay there. It can flip around which then interferes with the rotation of the front caster wheels which make the chair not turnable while the foot rest is in that position. It is possible to keep the foot rest out of the way if you have a small strap to temporarily attach it to the underside of the chair (there is a bar on the middle that is suitable for attaching it to). This works well but it has to be moved back to the normal position to fold the chair. It would have been nice to have a latch built into the chair to temporarily out the foot rest up and out of the way when it is not desired. With the foot rest out of the way, the person in the chair can push themselves around a little of they can use at least 1 foot ok. The chair itself seems sturdy and we didn't have any problems using it on sidewalks and roads except that it struggles going over fairly small bumps because of the small wheel size. In the folded position, the chair is fairly small so it stores fairly compactly. It was very easy to fold up the chair and put it in the boot of a car or other places for transport. When folded up, the chair can stand up on its own as long as the brake is on and the surface is fairly flat. When folded up, the chair can be rolled along when the brake is off, but we didn't find this very practical. The handle is too low to do this comfortably. Also, when folded the chair has nothing to prevent it from unfolding so it tends to want to unfold when it is folded up if you pull on it. It would have been nice to have some sort of latch or something to keep it folded up when folded. We ended up just carrying the chair when not in use, although this is a little tricky because it tends to want to unfold depending on how you are carrying it. It is fairly small and very light which helps makes this not too bad, but it would be a little annoying to carry long distances. The bag is just mediocre. The bag is not that sturdy. We checked the bag with an airline and it survived the trip back and forth, but it did suffer a 2-3 inch tear and the handle straps also suffered some damage that didn't affect functionality but did make them appear to be weaker. The bag material is something like a cheap duffel bag material and is not like a luggage bag material. It would have been nice if it was more like a luggage bag material. It is a little tricky to get the chair into the bag even though the space isn't too tight, bit it is not terrible. The stands to allow the chair to stand up when folded tend to poke the bag sides as well which I think is what led to the tear we experienced. The bag is not at all comfortable to carry on the shoulder using the straps. It is reasonably ready to carry by holding the straps on the hand though.Overall, this chair is best used when portability is more important than comfort and the intended user is not too large. For that use case, the chair works well although there are some minor drawbacks.
